Gaborone, Botswana
On a farm on the outskirts of Gaborone, the clean lines of this modern house with strong blade elements and articulated glass facades makes full use of the magnificent 360-degree views of the African bush, in which it unobtrusively resides. A raised plinth wall, clad with local stone, allows the house to float elegantly above the ground and to guard against the elements. The winged layout defines the living and sleeping zones, with double volume central circulation.
